The Director of PMO is responsible for the overall project management function providing leadership, coordination and management of the implementation of all technology projects, programs and processes.   The Director of PMO will work with the Executive VP, Technology on the strategic planning of all technology initiatives for all business units. Additionally, The Director of PMO will lead the identification, research and product testing, stakeholder alignment, and launch of new technologies that help achieve long-term company targets and strengthen Holland’s competitive position in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s core values.

  • Design and implement a consistent PMO process across all business units. Manage cross-functional efforts for modern technology implementation and ongoing technology evaluation.
  • Drive the technology strategy for each business unit by working with key stakeholders to identify gaps and define success. Engage Development, Design, Construction, and Residential Management to identify and develop new relevant and functional concepts.
  • Prioritize technology across Holland based on alignment with technology strategy for each business unit, organizational impact, required resources, and effort. Create Holland technology roadmap and share across teams, ensuring ongoing alignment with all key stakeholders.
  • Lead stages of modern technology implementation from initial assessment, business and resource requirements, project goals and timeline development, technical development, testing, and implementation. Track and measure success, continually improving technologies to meet the needs of the business.
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the Technology department, as well as maintain a holistic view of the department capacity to steer important trade-off decisions.
  • Develop and strengthen technology team relationships and communication with Development and Design, Construction, Residential Management, Marketing, and New Business Development units.
  • Establish goals and metrics to measure and improve the effectiveness of the PMO and associated processes.  Identify, monitor and report on critical benchmark metrics for department performance
  • Implement “right-sized” best practices, tools, project team structure, risk identification, escalation processes and project management decision-making responsibilities.
  • Proactively report overall status (progress, issues, dependencies) across all projects to executive team members in a standardized fashion
  • Document standardized methodologies and processes for implementation and measurement across the organization.


Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field required, Masters preferred.

Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience in product management or technology consulting with large cross-functional teams across a variety of business units required with direct and indirect management of cross-functional teams with increasing levels of responsibility. Experience with real estate development and/or property management a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives across a large group of cross-functional teams and internal/external partners.
  • Proven track record aligning and influencing key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong problem solver with ability to leverage analytics and consumer knowledge to identify opportunities.
  • Proven success with Request for Proposal process and new external partner orientation and implementation.
  • Strong project management and ongoing process improvement focus. (Certification not required.)
  • Possess a high level of curiosity about upcoming technology with a focus on how technologies can benefit Holland.
  • Knowledge of mobile application development, web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture a plus.
  • Must understand Holland company structure and lead with a passion for making all business units successful through innovation.
  • Ability to maneuver between high-level strategic thinking and detailed project work.
  • Ability to approach existing and newly implemented technology with a continual improvement approach.

Attendance: This full-time position is exempt and requires the ability to be present and available during business hours to meet company and department needs. Additional hours or flexible schedule may be required.

This position also requires:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Travel and overnight stays.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
