The Software Resources Specialist I will provide front-end support to users including application level administration and troubleshooting user questions and/or data errors; diagnosing and resolving reporting issues, helping administer and maintain the application environment ensuring reliable information is reported from the programs to perform data and report script testing and help implement workflow changes related to system updates and upgrades in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s core values.


  • Respond to user requests for assistance regarding Yardi system operations; and other inter-related software applications; provide assistance, resolve issues or liaise with appropriate teams or vendors to resolve issues.
  • Day-to-day management of the Software Support Help Desk tickets and follow-up.
  • Work cooperatively with I.T. staff to diagnose and resolve user problems as they relate to the application, database and server issues for related software supported.
  • Maintain user logins and access for various software programs such as Yardi, RENTCafe and Lead2Lease.
  • Provide additional training on software programs supplementing the Training Department as needed.
  • Workflow testing and report testing as needed.
  • Generate weekly summary reports to deliver to management and owners.
  • Enter new entity set-up, configuration and implementation which affects various software applications, including data-entry of residential data, system and property configurations and accounting transactions as needed.
  • Manage property accounts and related services of content and settings for RENTCafe, Screening provider and lead management CRM.
  • Update property market rents and amenities in Yardi and RENTCafe on a monthly basis or as needed.
  • Additional projects may include general software program system administration, updates to existing property set-up, default settings, user guide maintenance and distribution and new software implementation.   Other system-related requirements may be necessary as directed by supervisor.
  • Represent Holland Partner Group in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as directed, and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.


Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or higher preferred with major course work in information systems, accounting or a related field; or equivalent experience preferred.


Experience: Four years of combined multi-family management and/or industry related accounting experience required. Yardi Systems software experience preferred.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Proficient knowledge of the computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Yardi and/or other property management applications. Familiarity with RENTCafe and CRM software preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of property management concepts, principals and current practices.
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and associated reporting.
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques of troubleshooting software questions and issues.
  • Familiar with methods and techniques of evaluating user training requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with strong oral and written skills to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to effectively identify, analyze and troubleshoot user issues.
  • Ability to balance responsibilities for and prioritize work on multiple projects to ensure timely results.
  • Exemplary organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful.
  • Strong customer service orientation.


Attendance: This full time position requires ability to work Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm. Overtime is sometimes required as needed on a per project basis and must be approved prior.

This position also requires:

  • Repetitive motion of hands with significant use of keyboard and mouse.
  • Vision sufficient to read small print, computer screen and other printed documents.
  • Flexibility in days and hours worked.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
