    Holland Partner Group is seeking a Project Labor Foreman to join our Construction Team.

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary 

     

    This position will assists in project construction by completing duties as assigned by the Project Superintendent teams.  General duties will include, assisting in the management of daily project clean up, safety enforcement and any on-site coordination of project daily activities.  Incumbent will also assist in the management of project logistics, coordinating deliveries, staging and various traffic control requirements.

     

    Essential Job Functions

     

    • In support of the Superintendent staff, assist in coordinating deliveries and traffic control requirements to the staging area, tower crane and the man / material lift with the project subcontractors.
    • Maintain close communication with the project superintendents to understand and assist with project priorities and flow.
    • Track delivery dates and content delivered to the job site.
    • Assist with coordination of subcontractors.
    • Coordinate deliveries to staging area and construction use of project elevators as demand reduces for delivery scheduling (the tower crane and man / material lift are removed from the project)
    • Assume a role in the execution of interior finishes, quality control and punch list processes for the building as may be directed by the Superintendent.
    • Direct and manage Holland field labor forces or temporary labor as assigned by the Superintendent.
    • Assist in the monitoring and enforcement of project safety requirements.
    • Perform various types of construction labor including but not limited to: general framing, clean-up, drywall, painting, caulk, minor fixture installation, trenching and plaster work. This work will be performed on ladders, scaffolds during and after the general construction process.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Working Conditions

     

    This position takes place in a construction environment that involves hazardous work conditions requiring protective equipment and training that conforms to OSHA and applicable State Agency regulations. Some physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, and noise may occur.

    Qualifications

    Education:  High School diploma or equivalent required.

     

    Experience:  Five to ten years of construction experience required. Basic knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures is required. Construction experience in concrete, wood, steel, stud framing, drywall and structural steel erection are preferred. 

     

    Skills:

    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both writing and oral, and able to communicate to a wide variety of people
    • Ability to solve problems using available resources.
    • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be capable of planning, directing and organizing the work of labor crews of varying sizes toward the completion of specific project goals.
    • Must have considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety requirements within construction industry.
    • Must be proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful.

    Additional Requirements

     

    • Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of up to 50 pounds
    • Flexibility in days and hours worked
    • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations
    • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Completion of an OSHA 30-Hour safety course
    • Must obtain required certificates to operate equipment required for this position, such as: boom lift, small to medium sized earthwork moving equipment and scissor lift
    • Computer literacy preferred
